Injured Libyan weightlifter withdraws from Olympics
Libyan weightlifter Ali Elkekli (85kg) withdrew from the Olympic Games over an unspecified injury, Libya Herald reported on Friday (August 3rd).
Meanwhile, the only Libyan female athlete exited the Olympics on Friday. Hala Ghezal came in fifth in her 100m heat and failed to advance.
Libyan runner Ali Mabrouk El Zaidi will take part in the men's marathon on August 12th.
