Algerian athletes suspended for doping
Two Algerian athletes were barred from the 2012 London Olympics after testing positive for the banned performance-enhancing drug Stanozolol, Liberte reported on Wednesday (June 27th).
Decathlon competitor Larbi Bouraâda and 800m runner Zahra Bouras will be suspended for two years by the International Federation of Athletics (IAAF). They face separate penalties from the Algerian federation (FAA).
Bouraâda and Bouras are currently in Porto Novo, Benin for the 18th CAA Championships.
