Libya chooses Sfax for World Cup qualifier site
Libya and Cameroon will play their 2014 World Cup qualifier in the Tunisian city of Sfax, Libya Herald reported on Saturday (April 21st). The match will be played behind closed doors on June 8th.
"The unstable political situation in Libya does not ensure optimal security conditions for the meeting," FIFA said in early April, telling Libya that it needed to choose a "neutral venue" for the game.
In their first Group I qualifier on June 1st, Libya will visit Togo.
