MC Saida receive severe sanctions
The Algerian Professional Football League (LFP) on Monday (April 16th) penalised MC Saida with an eight-game suspension and a 200,000-dinar fine, LFP Disciplinary Committee President Hamid Heddaj told APS.
The L1 side were already in the relegation zone before they drew 1-1 in a Day 25 match against visitors USM Alger last Saturday night. After the final whistle, infuriated home fans stormed the pitch and attacked the opposing team with knives.
USMA players Abdelkader Laifaoui, Farès Hamiti, Farouk Chafai, Nassim Bouchemma, Abdoulaye Maiga, goalkeeper Mohamed Lamine Zemmamouche and club secretary Abdallah Cherchar were taken to hospital after the attack.
