Oussama Assaidi questionable for CAN opener
Injured Moroccan international and SC Heerenveen midfielder Oussama Assaidi hopes to join the Atlas Lions for their CAN opener against Tunisia on January 23rd, Goal.com reported on Wednesday (January 18th). Days ahead of the match in Libreville, Equatorial Guinea, the 23-year-old is still recovering from the tendonitis that kept him from playing in Morocco's pre-CAN friendlies.
"He's in rehabilitation right now and says that the pain has reduced, but the final decision is mine," national team doctor Abderrazak Hifti said.
