  • 2

Despite the closed land border between Algeria and Morocco, the 23rd Tour du Maroc has scheduled a stage in Algeria, Moroccan cycling federation (FRMC) chief Mohamed Belmahi told AFP on Thursday (January 12th). The proposed 160km segment between Guercif in eastern Morocco and Maghnia (via Oujda) in Algeria has the support of Algerian federation, Melmahi said.

The event runs from March 23rd through April 1st.

Thanks for creating this web. I am an Indonesian and planning to go to Algeria on 5 February. And I would love to continue my trip to Morocco. But I have heard that there the border of Algeria - Morocco is closed. Could you gave me some info about how to reach Morocco from Algeria?

Opening borders for trade and peaceful personal transit leads to greater community understanding and better economic circumstances for all. Would encourage opening of the border between Algeria and Morocco. Both countries and communities will benefit.
