Bellani breaks Marrakech 10k record
Moroccan runner Hicham Bellani won the men's race and Italian-Moroccan Nadia Ejjafini won the women's title at the Marrakech 10k International on Sunday (October 2nd), MAP reported. Bellani out-raced fellow Moroccan Hafid Chani and Kenya's Kennedy Kimutai with a time of 28:04, beating the event record of 28:22. Some 1,500 athletes from Morocco, Kenya, Algeria, Qatar, France, the Netherlands, Bahrain, Italy, Russia, Tunisia, Ethiopia and the US took part in the event.
