Tunisia hosts first 'Rally Orange' African leg
The African stages of the "Rally Orange" began Monday (April 12th) in Tunis' northern suburb of Gammarth, TAP reported. Tunisian Sports Minister Samir Laabidi and Tourism Minister Slim Tlatli gave the flag for car and bike racers to continue on the 20,000 km race begun in Amsterdam. After crossing Tunisia, competitors will travel through Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Botswana before arriving in South Africa on the eve of the World Cup.
