Zizou to play last public match in Algiers
The upcoming exhibition match in Algeria between former French and Algerian World Cup footballers will be the last time for Zinedine Zidane to play in public, Tout sur l'Algerie reported on Tuesday (February 2nd). After the March 1st futsal gala at Algiers' Stade du 5 Juillet, Zizou will only play matches with friends and family members "away from the audience and cameras", a source close to event organisers said. Some 75,000 fans at the stadium will get to see the former France captain walk off the pitch for the final time.
Part of the revenues from the match will be donated to victims of the Haiti earthquake.
