Libya champions Ittihad win season opener
Libya champions Ittihad began the 2009/10 football season on Friday (October 9th) with a 2-0 win over Al-Olomby, while rival club Ahli Tripoli lost to Al-Akhdar 2-1, Tripoli Post reported. In other first round matches played on Friday, Al-Nasr beat Al-Hilal 2-0 and Al-Swahili defeated newly promoted Al-Najma 2-1.
