Algerian runners to compete for first time in Morocco's Zagora marathon
The fifth edition of Morocco's Extreme Marathon of Zagora, set to begin on December 31st, will include Algerian and Cameroonian runners for the first time, MAP reported on Thursday (December 18th). The desert race is organised by legendary runner Lahcen Ahansal, a repeat winner of the Marathon des Sables. Some 1000 athletes from 13 countries are expected to participate in the event.
