Morocco ties Egypt, diminishes chance of reaching second round of CAN
Morocco played a goalless draw with Egypt on Tuesday (24 January), the second day of the first round of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in Cairo. The draw means Egypt and Cote-d'Ivoire are the likely teams to advance from Group A. Morocco must beat Libya by more than three goals in its final first round match on Saturday and hope Cote-d'Ivoire beats Egypt for it to have a shot to advance. (MAP, Guardian)
