Afellay nominated as Dutch Muslim of the Year
PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Afellay has been nominated for the Dutch Muslim of the Year award. A Dutch-born son of Moroccan parents, the 19-year-old first came to public attention this spring with a string of fine performances for PSV Eindhoven despite his young age. A total of 24 people were nominated for the award -- including Dutch-Moroccan rapper Ali B, Amsterdam alderman Ahmed Aboutaleb and Moroccan comedian Najib Amhali. The winner will be announced 11 January 2006. (TheAtlasLions.com)

You've said that Brahim Affellay is of Moroccan origins, but I don't think so as he doesn't speak Arabic. He only speaks the Amazigh language, firstly because he's an Amazigh and secondly because his parents were born in the city of Al Houceima in Morocco. Most people in that city speak the Amazigh language. thank you.
