Algeria, Tunisia win, Morocco loses first match at African Basketball Championship
Algeria won its first game at the 23rd men's African Basketball Championship in Algiers against Gabon 80-52 on Monday (15 August). Algeria was placed in a competitive group with 2004 runner-up Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire and Tunisia. In the other group, Morocco lost 70-60 to Senegal. Tunisia defeated Mali 80-61.
