Esperance Zarzis Wins Tunisian Cup
Esperance Zarzis won the Tunisian Cup for the first time when it beat overwhelming favourite Esperance Tunis 2-0 in Tunis on Sunday (22 May). Mohamed Ali Ghariani scored a breakaway goal in the 65th minute and his late replacement Mohamed Bouzommita added a second goal in stoppage time. Esperance Tunis ended the season third in the league after seven successive titles. Esperance Zarzis had never previously reached the semi-finals. (Reuters, Le Temps)
