USM Algiers Clinches Algerian Football Championship Title
A 2-1 victory over ASO Chlef on Monday (16 May) has ensured USM Algiers of the Division 1 Algerian football championship. The team has a ten-point lead on JS Kabylie, which lost to MC Algiers 2-1 on the same day. Cellar dwellers MC Oran and CS Constantine both won their matches 1-0 against USM Annaba and WA Tlemcen respectively. Daoud Sofiane scored the only goal for MC Oran. (dzfoot.com)
