Consultative Meeting in Morocco to Discuss Child Abuse
The second Afro-Arab consultative meeting against exploitation, violence and sexual abuse of children starts Monday (13 December) in Morocco. The three-day meeting is jointly organized by the Moroccan government and UNICEF.
The meeting aims at reviewing the implementation of the recommendations made at the World Congress Against Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children held in Yokohama, Japan, in 2001. Participants from African and Arab countries will share experiences and strategies on how to stop sexual exploitation and other abuses against children. (Guardian)
