Mohammed Kharssani, director of Children's Hospital in Rabat, noted the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope, which took place on Sunday (18 September), reached its objective of raising money for paediatric cancer research.

In the race, which attracted volunteers of different nationalities and social classes, Kharssani said the "psychological support was as important as the financial support". He added, "Because of the expense of cancer treatment and lack of specialised hospitals, the Marathon of Hope aims at filling children's hearts with hope of recovery". (Morocco Times)
