Tunisia pardons prisoners on Republic Day
Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki marked Republic Day on Wednesday (July 25th) by announcing a pardon for 1,302 prisoners. Minors and university students were among the recipients of the pardon, Justice Minister Noureddin Bhiri told Shems FM.
On July 25th, Tunisia celebrated the 55th anniversary of the creation of the republic and the end of the monarchy.
