UK foreign secretary visits Libya
British Foreign Secretary William Hague visited Libya on Monday (July 16th), Tripoli Post reported. Hague met with Prime Minister Abdurrahim El Keib, NTC members and political party officials.
"I am pleased to return to Libya so soon after its landmark elections on July 7th when, for the first time in over 42 years, the Libyan people were able to vote freely," Hague said.
"The successful conduct of the elections is a testament to the fortitude of the Libyan people and the efforts of the Libyan authorities," he added.
