Algeria rejects military intervention in Mali
The foreign ministers of Algeria and France called Sunday (July 15th) in Algiers for a political solution to the Mali crisis, APS reported.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his French counterpart, Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci ruled out the option of military intervention in Mali.
For his part, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius stressed that the presence of terrorists in northern Mali threatens "local populations, the region and the world".
Fabius, who began his two-day visit to Algeria on Sunday, will also meet with President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
