Nafusa towns declared 'military zone'
Libyan authorities on Saturday (June 16th) declared a "military zone" in the western Nafusa Mountains and called for a ceasefire in Zintan, Mizdah and al-Shaqiqa.
The interim government also called for the opening of safe passages to allow for the evacuation of the wounded and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The fighting, which erupted last Monday between Mashashiya tribesmen and gunmen from Zintan, has claimed 14 lives.
