New delay in Carthage Airport corruption trial
A Tunis appellate court on Saturday (May 19th) postponed the "Carthage Airport" corruption case until June 23rd, TAP reported.
Thirty-one relatives and allies of ousted Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, including wife Leila Trabelsi and security chief Ali Seriati, were sentenced last August to terms ranging from four months to six years.
The members of the Ben Ali clan were arrested last January for unlawfully attempting to flee the country, possessing large sums of foreign currency without authorisation from the Central Bank, jewel trafficking and credit card fraud.
