Algeria elections win UN praise
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Monday (May 14th) commended the people and the government of Algeria for the "peaceful conduct" of the May 10th legislative elections, Tout Sur l'Algerie reported. The UN chief also welcomed the increased representation of women in the new parliament and encouraged Algeria to implement political and constitutional reforms.
