Algerians living abroad started voting on Friday (May 4th) in the country's legislative elections, L'Expression reported. The number of eligible voters abroad is estimated at 988,470, with roughly 80% living in France.
Some 15,000 Algerians voted in Tunisia, and 11,000 more headed to polling stations in Morocco. Algerians in the UK started voting on Saturday. Some 4,000 voters living in Gao, Sebha and Agadez will be unable to participate due to the security situation in the Sahel.
