Morocco strengthens security at Djemaa El Fna
Morocco has strengthened security at Marrakech's famous Djemaa El Fna Square, site of a deadly 2011 bombing, AFP reported on Friday (May 4th). The place was equipped with 38 surveillance cameras in preparation for the upcoming tourist season, and will be patrolled by twenty motorized policemen.
The security measures were implemented four days after the country commemorated the first anniversary of the Argana Café blast that claimed the lives of 17 people, mainly foreign tourists.
