Tunisia transforms infamous prison into museum
Tunisia opened Bizerte's notorious Ennadhour prison to journalists, human rights activists and former prisoners, TAP reported on Monday (April 30th).
The prison - known as a symbol of terror and torture for half a century - has "united Tunisians, regardless of their political or regional affiliations, against the dictatorship", Justice Minister Nourreddine B'hiri said at the Sunday ceremony.
The plan to transform the prison into a national museum reflects Tunisia's "political will to break with dictatorship and terrorism", the minister added.
