The European Union will send an exploratory mission to Libya ahead of the Constituent Assembly elections slated for June, PANA reported on Saturday (April 14th).

According to EU official David Geer, the EU is keen to help Libyan authorities prepare for the first free elections of the post-Kadhafi era.

"Serious flaws" must be resolved before the poll, the EU official said. The European Union is concerned about the "composition of the lists, the total exclusion of women and the registration of the candidates", he said.
