Libya launches Tripoli International Fair
Libyan interim Prime Minister Abdurrahim El Keib on Monday (April 2nd) inaugurated the 40th Tripoli International Fair, the first to be held since the ouster of Moamer Kadhafi. Companies from Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas are taking part in the fair.
Speaking at the opening gala, El Keib said that Libya was left by the former regime without modern infrastructure or viable economic development plans but is now ready for reconstruction and comprehensive development in all fields.
Libya is about to build a free economy based on full transparency and the elimination of financial and administrative corruption, the prime minister said, stressing the need to support the private sector as the main engine for stimulating the economy.
The Tripoli International Fair runs through April 12th.
