African human rights leaders visit Mauritania prisons
The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights visited Mauritania last week to evaluate detention sites in the capital city, Le Quotidien de Nouakchott reported on Sunday (April 1st). After visiting the Nouakchott prisons, the delegation led by African Union Commissioner for Human Rights Catherine Dupe Atoki hailed the efforts of authorities to improve conditions.
