The Ras Jedir border crossing between Tunisia and Libya reopened Saturday (February 4th) after a one-day closure, TAP reported. According to presidential spokesman Adnan Mansar, Tunisia imposed the shutdown to strengthen security at the main Libya-Tunisia border post and impede the infiltration of weapons from Libya. The measure was taken in agreement with Libyan authorities, Mansar said.
