European parliament head visits Libya
The president of the European Parliament arrived in Tripoli on Saturday (October 29th) for a three-day visit, international press reported. "We are very close friends and the co-operation seems to be quite natural," Jerzy Buzek said after a meeting with National Transitional Council (NTC) chief Mustafa Abdel Jalil. Buzek also voiced hope about the full involvement of Libya in the Union for the Mediterranean (UPM) project, rejected in 2008 by Moamer Kadhafi.
