Ennahda win Tunisian expat vote
Tunisian Islamist party Ennahda Movement won 9 of the 18 constituent assembly seats dedicated to electoral constituencies abroad, TAP reported on Monday (October 24th), citing partial results announced by the Independent High Electoral Commission (ISIE).
Among the foreign constituency seats, the Congress for the Republic (CPR) won four, Ettakatol won three, and the People's Petition for Freedom, Justice and Development and the Modernist Democratic Pole (PDM) each took one. Voter turnout among Tunisian expatriates exceeded 40%.
Final results of the domestic and international poll will be announced late Tuesday.
