Libyan PM Al-Mahmoudi defects
Libyan Prime Minister Al-Baghdadi Ali Al-Mahmoudi on Thursday (September 1st) announced his defection from the Kadhafi government and recognition of the Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC), PANA reported. In a telephone interview with satellite TV channel Al Arabiya, he said he had defected to the side of the February 17th revolution on Tuesday. The former minister also called for the fighting and bloodshed to end.
