Algeria identifies Thenia suicide bombers
Algerian security services identified two of the would-be suicide bombers killed Monday in Boumerdes, Liberte reported on Tuesday (July 26th). A 27-year-old Boukhenfer native, a 21-year-old from Zemmouri and a third man died when their vehicles exploded in Thenia. ANP soldiers opened fired when they refused to stop at a check point along the road to Algiers.
The three members of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb's "El Arkam" brigade, led by Abou Selmane, were reportedly planning suicide attacks in Algiers.
