Ben Ali, El Materi face fraud trial
A Tunis court on Wednesday (July 6th) will review new cases against ousted president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, TAP reported. The deposed Tunisian president and son-in-law Sakhr El Materi are charged with financial and real estate fraud. El Materi married Ben Ali's daughter Nesrine in 2004.
Another case regarding the attempted escape of Ben Ali family members from Tunis-Carthage airport on January 14th will be deliberated next week.
