UN appeals for Mauritania food aid
The UN called on the international community to help some 10 million Sahel residents at risk of starvation, PANA reported on Thursday (July 22nd). According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, famine threatens more than 300,000 people in central-eastern and south-eastern Mauritania alone.
