Morocco, EU relations discussed in Rabat

Morocco and the Council of Europe held a two-day seminar in Rabat to discuss co-operation between countries from both shores of the Mediterranean, local and international press reported on Monday (February 22nd). The event, held for the first time in a non-European country, included the signing of agreements in health, youth, sports and other sectors.

In related news, trade and economic co-operation between Morocco and the European Union was the centre of talks on Monday in Rabat between Foreign Minister Taieb Fassi Fihri and visiting EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht. Discussions reportedly focussed on Morocco's advanced status and agreements in fishing, agriculture and agri-business.
