Mauritanian soldier charged with leading drug-trafficking ring
Mauritanian gendarmes dismantled a Nouakchott drug trafficking ring allegedly run by a soldier, ANI reported on Tuesday (January 19th). Police on Monday arrested the soldier and two alleged accomplices in Dar Naim and seized a large quantity of heroin. According to police, the soldier was acting under the guise of his military status to bring drugs from Senegal into Mauritania.
