Tunisia activates North Africa's first electron accelerator
Tunisia on Sunday (November 22nd) launched North Africa's first nuclear accelerator dedicated to research and industry, Le Quotidien reported, noting the non-radioactive technology's many industrial, medical and environmental applications. Research and Technology Minister Lazhar Bououni presided over the inauguration ceremony at the National Centre for Nuclear Science and Technology (CNSTN) in Sidi Thabet. The event included a scientific conference on the electron accelerator.
