Algeria third in Africa for H1N1 cases, WHO study finds
A new epidemiological survey from the World Health Organisation (WHO) ranked Algeria third in Africa for the most H1N1 swine flu cases, Echorouk reported on Monday (August 3rd). Of the 185 infections reported August 2nd by the WHO Regional Bureau for Africa, South Africa had 119, Kenya had 22 and Algeria had 16. WHO urged Algeria to tighten health surveillance measures to contain the spread of the virus. The report noted that the Algerian cases originated in European, American and Asian countries.

Frankly, with Egypt having 298 cases, South Africa having 480 cases, Morocco having 53 cases, Tunisia having 19 cases and the list keeps on going, all of these countries have an exceptionally higher number of cases than Algeria. And, moreover, using Echorok as a reference is quite a pain to the eyes: it has zero credibility! Algeria is third in Africa!? Does this mean that Morocco is no longer and African country, or Egypt too?
