Interior Minister Chakib Benmoussa has started a series of meetings with political party leaders over the 2009 local elections in Morocco, MAP reported on Tuesday (September 9th). Talks focus on the timetable of the elections, possible reforms in the local elections system, the representation of women on the local councils, identifying the electorate and guaranteeing the best conditions to encourage a larger turnout, a ministry statement said.
