EU allocates 4.7m euros to Mauritanian justice sector
Mauritanian Justice Minister Yahya Ould Sid'El Mustapha launched an EU–sponsored project aimed at strengthening and rehabilitating the sector of justice on Thursday (June 26th), Pana reported. The 4.7 million euro project aims at establishing an "independent, credible and efficient" judicial system, "which is a prerequisite to the entrenchment of the rule of law and strengthening of democracy" Pana quotes project coordinator El Houssein Ould Ahmed Mahmoud as saying.
