Casablanca kicks off international book fair
The 14th Casablanca International Book Fair (SIEL) opened on Friday (February 8th). Prince Moulay Rachid presided over the opening ceremony of the event, which runs through February 17th under the theme "Reading Celebration". Some 580 exhibitors from 44 countries are taking part in SIEL. France has been invited as this year's guest of honour. More than 100 French publishers will present some 2,000 books. Roundtables, theatrical performances and meetings with writers and are also on the schedule of events.
