Libya arrests Lukoil representative over information leak

Russia's foreign ministry confirmed on Tuesday (December 4th) that Alexander Tsygankov, head of the Lukoil Overseas division in Libya, was detained on November 25th. The ministry said Tsygankov has not been charged with a crime, but is being questioned as a witness in regards to leak of information related to a recent tender for 12 major gas deposits in Libya. The Russian embassy in Tripoli said it is making all necessary efforts to secure their citizen's release.
