Algerian authorities crack down on terrorists in Tizi Ouzou
Algerian security forces dismantled a terrorist support cell in Yakouren, Tizi Ouzou, El Khabar reported on Thursday (September 27th). Three people were arrested in Tuesday's operation, the paper quotes security sources as saying.
Also on Tuesday, two policemen were killed in a bomb explosion targeting a police convoy in Isser municipality, Boumerdés province. Security forces immediately began a search operation but the attackers managed to escape. Two other hand-made bombs were discovered and defused in Boumerdés on Tuesday, Ech Chourouk and El Watan report.
