Maghreb countries attend first ministerial meeting on EU neighbourhood policy

Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and Libya are among the 16 Mediterranean countries which together with 27 EU ministers are attending an international conference entitled "Working Together – Strengthening the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP)", organised and hosted by the European Commission (EC) on Monday (September 3rd), Liberte reports. The event is to include the first ministerial-level session, which will focus particularly on opportunities for trade liberalisation, mobility, and the challenges of climate change and energy security. Another session will open up the debate to other stakeholders including business groupings and non-governmental organisations. The ENP calls for privileged political and economic relations between the EU and its neighbouring countries.
