Algeria’s petrochemical sector to receive $20 billion in investments, Khelil says

Investment in Algeria's petrochemical sector will reach $20 billion by 2008, Energy and Mines Minister Chakib Khelil said Tuesday (July 31st) at a press conference in Oran, on the sideline of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika's visit to the province. "We are finalising two projects, one with Total and one with Armalt and four to five other petrochemical projects which we expect to award in the next few months, before 2008," APS quotes Khelil as saying.
