Sonatrach makes four new oil and gas discoveries
Algeria’s national oil company Sonatrach announced on Wednesday (June 20th) that it has struck oil in four places in the country's Berkine and Gourara basins, APS reported. Sonatrach made two of the discoveries on its own, and two more in association with the Anadarko LLC/ENI/Maersk consortium and Statoil. The new finds increase the number of Sonatrach's discoveries in 2007 to twelve.
