Three Spanish groups bid for Oran tramway construction
Three major Spanish groups, Acciona, Isolux and OHL have placed bids in a recent tender for the construction of a tramway in Oran, Algeria's second largest city, local press reported Sunday (April 29th). The tender will close on June 30th, and the winner will be announced in September or October. Construction is expected to begin by December and last for 26 months. The future Oran tramway will have a bidirectional line extending more than 19 kilometres.
